Fabricating the Commons
From August 13 to 15, 2021
The Fab City Summit is the annual meeting of the global Fab City Initiative, an international gathering of experts and communities interested in a circular economy, urban planning, digital manufacturing, new business models, civic engagement, and sustainable methods of design and production.
The Fab City Summit is a major event, bringing together the team at the heart of the Fab City Global Initiative and over 1,000 key players involved in building sustainable, citizen-driven and resilient cities. The event unfolds in multiple parts to reach varied audiences.
From August 13 to 15, 2021, Montréal (Canada) will host the International Meeting of Fab Cities under the theme #Fabricating the Commons. The Fab City proposes a new urban, economic and industrial model allowing cities to produce locally the majority of what they consume, connected to a global network of cities and territories that implement similar strategies.
Global Fab City Initiative acts as a global infrastructure and source of knowledge for the transformation of the way we work, live, interact and evolve in out territories.
The Fab City Summit proposes six main topics for discovering and harvesting capabilities and participating in the creation of meaningful narratives: ecological transition, life sciences, sustainable design and biomimicry, advanced production ecosystem, education for the future, and regenerative economy.
